The junior varsity team plays a heart-racing thriller, leading at the half by 11 points and allowing the Tommies to tie up the game with 1 minute left in the second half. With a tied score at the end of the second half, they head into over-time and pushed through an intense 3 minutes. Coach Utecht says his team played both good and bad, and felt like they had a lot of turnovers in the last two minutes and allowed Roosevelt to catch up. He also adds that his team played good defense, but they still need to learn how to finish off the game well. This thriller turned out in our favor and the boy's cranked out a big win over Edison, 68-66.

Players w/most points:
#45 Bobby Anderson- 23 points
#25 Doc Wells- 20 points

"It was a tale of the two halves" assistant coach Beck explains. Both head coach Keenan and coach Beck agree that the first half was not the best they've played. The Knights trailed the Tommies 12-26 at half time, but they came back to take the win. "In the second half, we turned it around and played well. "No turnovers, everyone did great."  Coach Keenan described the second half. With 10 minutes left, down by 16, they cut the lead down to 5 points. About two minutes after, they tie it 39 all. Things started to pick up after Junior Kenny Reed gets a steal and goes for a dunk. The boys show no mercy and take the lead, stripping the ball back to back and finishing with a 13 point lead, final score 41-54.

"We need to continue to try and put together 36 mins of good basketball." - Coach Beck
