EH outscored the Lancers in each of the first three quarters, taking a 12-9 edge after one and expanding it to 23-16 at halftime and 43-34 after three. The Royals were led by Cody Wallace's 20 points -- this performance coming days after committing to play baseball at Lakeland College in Illinois. EH is now 6-12 on the season. The Royals improved to 3-4 in MHC play headed into Friday's home and conference finale against Morristown. The broadcast will be at HancockCountySports.com. EH also won the JV game 35-25. Gymnastics Dragons sweep 3-way: New Palestine's gymnastics team swept a three-way meet Tuesday night, totaling 105.15 points to beat Franklin Central (101.875) and Richmond (83.975). It was the Dragons' season finale, and they are now 30-0 on the year. The Dragons had two individual winners -- Shelly Huesman on bars (8.95) and Kaytlin Fee on floor exercise (9.05). Huesman led a 1-2-3 finish on bars for the Dragons, with Fee and Kenzi Hoffman finishing in the next two spots. In addition, Hoffman won the all-around (35.6). Hoffman was second on vault (9.2) and beam (9.3) and third on both floor and bars. Fee was third in the all-around and Huesman sixth. Other top-six finishers for the Dragons were Huesman (6th, vault), Annabelle Dockins (5th, vault), Fee (2nd, bars and 3rd, beam), Kylie Zehner (6th, beam and 6th, floor). The Dragons next compete Feb. 19 at Shelbyville.
