Yorktown won with 270 points. NP had 242 and G-C 180.5. Pendleton Heights (166), Rushville (136), Delta (98), Shelbyville (68.5) and Mt. Vernon (60) rounded out the field. Seven local wrestlers won HHC titles. For New Palestine, C.J. Red was an individual champion at 106, winning his final-round match by injury default. Taylor Fee won at 126 by fall and Brian Wagner won at 182 by fall. Noah Grable had a major decision at 195 and Gabe Estes a fall at 220 to give the Dragons five conference champions. Greenfield-Central's Taylor Wright won the 113-pound title by an 8-6 decision over Mt. Vernon's Cody McAtee. Josh Farrell won at 152 by fall in his final-round match. For NP, Gordon Wagner (138) and Robbie Elsea (145) placed second, Rylan McCarty (113) and Nick Brickens (160) placed third, Jared Timberman (132), Logan Hunt (152) and Ian Pomfret (170) placed fourth. For G-C, Sam Locke (132), Joe Hoskins (160) and Tyler Beeson (285) placed second. Locke had a close match, falling in OT in the final. Garrett Mullins (126), Shawn Fogle (138) and Cameron Nuckols (182) placed third. Jacob Miller (106) had a fourth-place finish. For MV, in addition to McAtee's runner-up finish at 113, T.Albrand was third at 195. Royals host invitational: Eastern Hancock hosted the EH Invitational today, a six-way super dual meet. Hunter Knopp and Josh Ramage each went a perfect 5-0 on the day. Knopp had a 16-second fall against Frankton in the second round. Seth Kell went 4-1. EH had a 51-0 victory over Manual in its third match, and also competed against Indiana Deaf, Frankton, Hagerstown and Brebeuf.
