NP led 11-6 after a quarter and 25-19 at the half, with Brandon Jonas scoring nine first-half points. The Dragons held a 35-29 lead after three and maintained a five-point lead for much of the early part of the fourth quarter.

NP shot 51 percent (20-of-39) from the floor.

The Dragons are now 9-3 on the season and 4-0 in the Hoosier Heritage Conference, sharing the lead with Mt. Vernon and Yorktown. NP next plays Jan. 18 at Roncalli, then returns home Jan. 19 to face Whiteland. PH is now 6-5 (2-2 HHC).

Mt. Vernon 59, Rushville 37: The Marauders had another strong defensive effort, another big third quarter and another big scoring night from C.J. Coleman in a road victory.
