County tournament postponed to Saturday

The snowstorm has forced the postponement of the Hanocck County basketball tournament, and all games have been rescheduled! 

The varsity tournament will now be played Saturday, with all of the games played as they were originally scheduled. New Palestine will visit Mt. Vernon; and Greenfield-Central will visit Eastern Hancock. Girls will play at 10 a.m., boys at 11:30 a.m. The championship/consolation games will be played at Greenfield-Central at 6 p.m. 

The JV tournament has been moved to Monday at Eastern Hancock -- that is a venue change due to scheduled court resurfacing at New Palestine. The C-team boys tournament will be played as scheduled Friday at Mt. Vernon. 

We will broadcast all of the semifinal games and the boys/girls championship games at HancockCountySports.com or right here at www.ihigh.com/hancockcountysports.

Consolations: Greenfield-Central fieldhouse

JV county tournament (boys/girls): 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at Eastern Hancock (9 a.m.-girls semis; 10:30 a.m.-boys semis; noon-girls final/conso, 1:30 p.m.-boys final/conso). 
C-team county tournament (boys): 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at Mt. Vernon (semis, then finals, 2 games played simultaneously). 

First-round pairings will be the same in all tournaments.
