Home » General NewsSchool closures cause rescheduled gamesDecember 21, 2012 Hancock County SportsThe weather that caused school to be canceled at Greenfield-Central and New Palestine Friday also affected the girls basketball games. . The Greenfield-Central at Lebanon game was postponed to Jan. 3. The New Palestine vs. Pendleton Heights game was also postponed and will be played Monday, Jan. 28 -- which was the game's originally-scheduled date. The Eastern Hancock-Southwestern (Shelby) game was played as scheduled. Both G-CHS and NPHS have announced that the final exams scheduled for Dec. 21 will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 8, with a review day scheduled for Monday, Jan. 7. The next boys and girls basketball games for all four Hancock County schools will be the Dec 27 county tournament. Mt. Vernon will host New Palestine, while Eastern Hancock will host Greenfield-Central in the semis, with girls games at 10 a.m. and boys games at approximately 11:30 a.m. The championship/consolation games will be at G-C at 6 p.m. Listen to ALL of the semifinal games and the two championship games LIVE at HancockCountySports.com and www.ihigh.com/hancockcountysports.
