Anderson 83, Mt. Vernon 75, OT: The Marauders and Tribe played a thriller at MV, but Anderson was able to outscore the Marauders 15-7 in the extra four minutes to win a wild one.

Erica Moore posted a double-double for the Marauders, tallying 33 points and 10 rebounds. Sydney Shelton had 25 points.

Moore and Shelton scored 14 points each in the first half to stake MV to a 32-25 edge at the break. MV led 45-43 at the end of three, but Anderson scored 25 fourth-quarter points to rally to tie the game going into OT.

The Marauders are now 5-2 on the season. They next play Saturday afternoon at Yorktown.

Shelbyville 52, New Palestine 44: Despite two players in double figures, New Palestine was unable to complete a second-half rally against the Golden Bears.

NP trailed 43-29 late in the third, but began to rally, with a basket ahead of the horn by Carly Hackler, another hoop and two FTs by Haley Stratman sandwiched around a basket by Katlyn Keele. After a Shelbyville free throw and two free throws by Natalie Kehrt, NP had rolled off a 10-1 run and cut the deficit to five with 1:50 left.

But Shelbyville was able to hit 6-of-10 from the line down the stretch and hold off a Dragon run.

NP shot a season-best 48 percent from the floor (16-of-33) and got 17 points from Stratman and 10 from Kehrt -- both career-highs. It was Stratman's fourth consecutive double-figure scoring game, as she hit 6-of-12 from the floor and was 3-of-8 from the 3-point line. Kehrt was 3-for-6 and hit a pair of 3-pointers. Adie Lorsung added six points on 2-of-2 both from the floor and the line.

Kehrt also had a team-high six rebounds, as NP outrebounded Shelbyville 27-20, and had three assists and a team-high three steals. Hackler added four boards. Taylor Shull had a team-high four assists.

Riley Achenbach had a big night for Shelbyville, hitting 7-of-8 from the floor for 20 points. Jacqueline Lux added 10 for the Golden Bears.

NP (1-5, 0-2 HHC) next plays Friday at Greenfield-Central.

North Decatur 61, Eastern Hancock 45: The Royals dropped to 1-2 in MHC play and 4-3 overall with the loss on the road Tuesday night.

Kiersten Schrope had 16 points, four assists and four steals for the Royals. Kristen Eischen had 11 points and six rebounds. Kaytlin Eastes had nine points.

North Decatur had a huge fourth quarter, outscoring EH 24-7 after the Royals led 38-37 going into the final period.

EH next plays Thursday at home against Northeastern.
