Milan also forced three turnovers on the day to ward off a Royal comeback attempt. Wllie Mays' first-quarter interception set up Scott Pennington's three-yard TD, and a partially-blocked punt set up another score in the second. EH quarterback Logan Splater threw two TD passes to Derrik Noel in the third quarter to cut Milan's lead to 23-19, but the Indians added a fourth-quarter TD to put it away. Noel scored all three Royal TDs, also putting the first points of the game on the board in the first quarter. Splater threw for 113 yards, and running back Spencer Gilbert ran for 86 for the Royals. EH is now 2-2 overall and 1-2 in MIFC play. Milan is 3-1/1-0. South Decatur 25, Edinburgh 13: The Cougars had a huge game from Chris Meadows, who had a 90-yard TD run and two long TD receptions of 62 and 19 yards on passes from QB Chris Johannigman in the victory. Johanningman completed 20-of-30 for 256 yards. Meadows had 114 rushing yards and also caught six passes for 107. South Decatur is now 2-2 overall. Knightstown 67, North Decatur 21: Knightstown's potent offense has scored at least 32 points each week. North Decatur was the second straight opponent the Panthers put 60+ points up against, and the Chargers suffered their first loss. ND is now 3-1 overall. Indian Creek 41, Clarksville Providence 18: In the only game that got completed Friday night in the MIFC, Rory Wray threw for 156 yards -- including seven passes and 130 yards to Brenden Smith -- to lead the Braves to a lopsided victory. Dokken Egenolf also ran for 109 yards for Indian Creek. Louisville Courier-Journal MIFC standings/next week Milan 1-0/3-1.
