Home » Football NewsFB: 8/24 Saturday Morning QB: MIFC roundupAugust 25, 2012 By Andrew Smith of Hancock County SportsEastern Hancock has put together back-to-back impressive victories, outscoring foes 101-12 in the opening two games of the season. Temporarily, that puts the Royals atop the MIFC standings. EH will have two pretty solid matchups the next two weeks -- against a strong Indian Creek team that is 0-2, but has lost to 5A Terre Haute South and 4A Greenwood, and is usually one of the top 3A teams in the state. Next up after that is a contest against the Milan Indians on Sept. 7, which we'll broadcast live here at Hancock County Sports. Eastern Hancock 61, South Decatur 7: Everything's clicking for the Royals in the opening two games, as they're 2-0 for the first time since 2004. Spencer Gilbert ran for 261 yards and four TDs. QB Logan Splater threw for three touchdowns, and Dalton Korlowicz added a long TD run. SEI Local Sports North Decatur 36, Edinburgh 25: The Chargers got a big game from running back Jason Kirchoff, who ran for 326 yards as ND beat a former MIFC team, Edinburgh.
