Defending state champion Cathedral is No. 1 in both polls, followed by Fort Wayne Dwenger. NP ranks third in the AP poll. Fellow Hoosier Heritage Conference squad Pendleton Heights is ranked sixth after an 11-2 year and the school's second straight sectional title. Mt. Vernon and Greenfield-Central are both receiving votes. MV went 5-5 last year, G-C 6-5.
In the IFCA poll, none of the HHC teams are ranked in the Class 4A Top 10, but New Palestine, Pendleton Heights and Delta are receiving votes.
