New Palestine ranked 16th in girls poll

New Palestine opened the season ranked 16th in the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Class 2A girls soccer poll.

The Dragons open their season Monday at Perry Meridian. They went 17-1-3 in the 2011 season, their second straight unbeaten regular season. They won a sectional title and advanced to the Class 2A regional final. New Palestine returns leading scorer Lauren Joray for new head coach Bobby Holden.
