Sponsor HancockCountySports for 2012-13!

June 26, 2012
Hancock County Sports

We would like to invite you to consider partnering your business with HancockCountySports.com for the 2012-2013 school year. We are convinced that HancockCountySports.com will give you a passionate audience that will be interested in supporting local companies. We’ll also do it with great value, starting at less than $1/day, with a unique combination of both online and broadcast advertising at a very low rate. Online media is the fastest-growing segment of media, and reaches a growing audience that is more comfortable with consuming media on smartphones and computers rather than ink and paper. We are locally-owned and operated, led by Andrew Smith, a 15-year veteran of covering Hancock County sports, and also someone who provides the perspective of having been a teacher, newspaper writer, broadcaster and coach. He and Chris Lambert have more than 25 years of media experience, and provide an energetic, exciting play-by-play that has become a staple of our community.

HancockCountySports.com is the only local media company that provides all of the following:

  • Live broadcasts featuring your community’s student-athletes: professionally-produced radio-style webcasts of football, boys & girls basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and soccer games involving all Hancock County schools. All broadcasts are also archived indefinitely for on-demand listening, and garner between 200-3,500 page views.
    • We broadcast more than 60 live sporting events in 2011-12 – including Mt. Vernon’s run to the girls basketball State Finals, New Palestine’s undefeated football season, regional appearances for Greenfield-Central soccer, Mt. Vernon softball and New Palestine boys basketball and New Palestine’s run to the baseball semistate. We plan to increase that number this year, including a football broadcast from Lucas Oil Stadium for the fourth consecutive year.
    • Daily written updates: updates of high school scores involving all four local schools, updated and online that evening, which usually average 100+ page views each. They are posted either same-day or next-morning in nearly all cases.
    • Social media: An aggressive presence on Facebook & Twitter that bring our more than 500 followers back to our site where they can see/hear your advertising.
    • FREE to access: It is free to access. We do not charge, nor do we ever plan to charge, our readers/listeners to access our content. It allows the community to freely follow high school sports, click links to your company and repeatedly hear your company’s name.
    • Local focus, worldwide reach: We are partners with iHigh, the Global Youth Network, which provides free websites nationally to all high schools in the country. We link all relevant information to each local school’s iHigh site, Since joining iHigh in March, HancockCountySports.com has received more than 20,000 page views and between 600-950 unique visitors per month.

Please consider partnering with HancockCountySports.com and promoting your business to our rapidly-growing, locally-focused audience. Please contact Andrew Smith at andrewsmith@crosscomsports.com or click the "Support this Site" banners on this page.

“HancockCountySports.com has been a welcome addition to the sports scene in our area over the last few years. Their work at our basketball games is always professional as they promote the work of our student-athletes. The coaches and players in our program truly appreciate the work HancockCountySports.com does so the friends and families of our program can listen to our games.”

Adam Barton, New Palestine boys basketball coach
