Monday county wrap: G-C softball wins

Greenfield-Central's softball team beat Greensburg 8-1 Monday in a rain-shortened, five-inning game.

Sami Frazier had a no-hitter going for 4 2/3 innings before Greesnburg got a hit and its only run.

Frazier struck out nine and allowed one hit in the victory. She also went 3-for-3 at the plate. Ashley Whitaker was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Lauren Deeter and Alyssa Walls went 2-for-3 for G-C, which is now 15-2 on the season.

All other county action was postponed due to rain, including the Greenfield-Central at Eastern Hancock baseball game, which G-C led 5-0 in the third when the rains came.
