Home » Baseball NewsDragons No. 8 in baseball poll, all 4 softball teams RVApril 17, 2012 Hancock County SportsNew Palestine made its first appearance in the Class 4A poll this week, the beneficiary of its 8-0 start. The Dragons debuted in the poll at No. 8. They were completely unranked in the preseason poll, and were receiving votes last week. Only one other HHC team is receiving votes, Delta in Class 3A. In softball, all four county teams are receiving votes. With two losses to No. 3 Hamilton SE and No. 7 Franklin Central, then then-No. 7 Dragons fell out of the top 10 in 4A. NP is receiving votes, as is Greenfield-Central, in 4A. Mt. Vernon in 3A and Eastern Hancock in 2A are also receiving votes. Among HHC schools, Pendleton Heights is No. 6 in 4A and Delta is receiving votes in 3A.
