Home » Softball NewsFrazier hits 3rd HR in G-C winMarch 22, 2012 By Andrew Smith of Hancock County SportsIn two games this season, Greenfield-Central has shown more than a little bit of offensive power. Much of it has been supplied by Sami Frazier. Frazier hit her third homerun of the young season, and had three RBI to lead the Cougars to a 9-1 victory over Warren Central Thursday afternoon. G-C built an early two-run lead in the top of the first. WC cut the lead in half in the second. A single run in the fourth restored the two-run edge, and then the Cougars scored six runs in the seventh inning to put things away. Frazier now has three homers and nine RBI in two games. She also pitched a complete game, allowing no earned runs and striking out seven. Ashley Whitaker also homered for the Cougars and drove in two. Lauren Deeter, Jena Zook and Kimmy Ellenberger all had two hits, a run and a double. Deeter also drove in a pair of runs. Lindsey Hardwick, Ashley Brunk and Alyssa Walls each had two hits and a run scored. The Cougars are now 2-0 on the young season. They will next play April 2 against Cathedral.
