District Golf results

September 30, 2011
By Maribeth Frevert of Hallsville High School

The Lady Indians golf team capped their season yesterday at the District Tournament in Moberly at Timber Lake golf course.

Adriane Long and Brittany Wise just missed the cut to move on to the Sectional Tournament by 5 and 7 strokes respectively as the cut was 119 to move on. Adriane shot 124, and Brittany 126 for the day.

Kayla Tornay perservered and shot 184, with no stroke limit- (we're used to 10 stroke maximum at most matches, there were some high scores on some of the tougher holes).

Team winners were Notre Dame of Cape Girardeau with 397, and 2nd Centralia with 421. Both teams will advance to the Sectional tournament to be played at Innsbrook Golf Club in the St. Louis area.

Medalist for the day was a tie between Katie Martin of Centralia and Camille Brewer of Cape ND with 93.

The top 15 scores, not on the two qualifying teams, will also advance to the Sectional Tournament.

This is where Adriane and Brittany missed the cutoff of 119.

To download in documents below is the final results sheet showing the names of the finalists and medal winners.

Thanks for your support throughout the season.
