April 29th: Kirksville JV Tournament

For the first time since...well, I don't know if ever have competed in a JV tournament, we took a JV team to compete in the Kirksville JV Tournament.  The JV Indians took 6th out of 7 teams shooting a 552. For 2 of the 4 golfers we took, it was their first experience competing in an 18 hole tournament, but we wanted to give them experience in this type of setting as preparation for future varsity competition.

Individually, Steven Morris led the JV Indians shooting a 113 to lead the way. Clarence Morris followed with a 138. First time golfers Kaelub Galloway and Nyk Day got their first tournament experience with Kaelub shooting a round of 139, including a 65 on the back 9, his first time shooting below 70 on 9 holes in his career. Nyk Day carded a 162 rounding out the Hallsville scoring for the day.

May 1st: Match w/ Harrisburg and New Bloomfield

In a rare golf reschedule, our April 3rd match was made up on May 1st as we hosted Harrisburg and New Bloomfield at Arthur Hills Golf Course near Mexico. We finished our match season dropping both matches as we shot a 225 falling to Harrisburg (185) and New Bloomfield (190).

Individually, we were led by our 3 seniors as Lee March shot a 51, Ryan Tarrence with a 52, and Michael Culwell with a 57.

For the JV Indians, Kaelub Galloway continued his growth and improvement shooting a career low round of 64 as he put together 2 good outings to finish up his season.
