JV Girls fall to Harrisburg in last game of the season

February 21, 2014
Hallsville High School

Last night we traveled to Harrisburg for our final JV game.  We played a tough first half and handled their pressure well; we were able to get some easy looks in the open floor.  We went into halftime trailing by 4.  We struggled in the 3rd quarter and found ourselves down by 14 heading into the 4th quarter.

The girls did an amazing job of fighting back and giving themselves a chance at the end.  We held Harrisburg to 4 points in the final quarter (all of these were at the free throw line when we were forced to foul in the final seconds).  Unfortunately, they were able to convert on their free throw attempts and we lost by a final score of 46-49.

This was one of the best games the girls played all season.  We were so proud of them for their effort and the way they played as a team.  Even with a loss, we felt good about the way our season ended!  Sheridan Hargis led us in scoring with 17 points.  Brooke Alley added 11 and Courtney Cotton chipped in 6.

Thank you so much for your support!
