Homecoming week re-cap
October 8, 2013Hallsville High School
Whew....we can finally can take a deep breath!!!! Was that a great week or
what!!! I would like to say *Thank You* to anyone and everyone who had a
part in our activities for Homecoming. I haven't seen that many people
along a parade route or at a pep rally event since football started at
Hallsville, so hats off to Staci Johnson and all those who assisted her in
planning the homecoming activities!!! As for the *PigSkin PigOut*, weren't
those ribs and chicken good!!! A special *Thank You* goes out to Scott and
Sandy Drummond for planning and preparing such a great meal and event!!!
Of course the fun didn't stop there and although the bounce house was
cancelled and the sound system kept blowing a breaker we had a good
pre-game tailgate with lots of hot dogs and water being consumed by our
great Hallsville Fans and Supporters while the kiddos had their faces
painted and hair ribbons tied up!!
Next the Indians played an awesomefootball game firing on all cylinders to
blow out the visiting tigers from Versailes for a great homecoming Victory!!!
We finished off the night with
our post game dessert and social where lots of fans stopped by to satisfy
that ole sweet tooth on the way home!!!
Then on Saturday evening Coach
Johnson shared the game film with the Quarterbackers at Chris & Terra
Picketts house during our "Campfire w/ Coach" event while we snacked on
buffalo wings and nachos. The evening was capped off sitting around the
campfire and talking football with some great friends!!!
This week the Indians host the Eldon Mustangs for senior night as it is the
last regular scheduled home game for 2013. Hopefully with a strong finish
to the season the Indians can squeeze one more home game in week 10 by
finishing in the top four of districts. So please come out and support
your Hallsville Indians and give them that home field advantage and show
them that Hallsville does have their backs so they can finish the season
playing the best football of the season!!!
