JV Boys fall to Southern Boone 63-52

February 12, 2013
Hallsville High School

from JV Coach Jordan Carmack

Last night the JV Indians hosted the Eagles of Southern Boone. The game started out pretty quickly for the Indians as they were able to get some easy baskets and manage the tempo of the game very well. The Indians went into the half with a 29-22 lead. The second half the Eagles took control of the game and were able to knock down some big shots down the stretch. The Indians fought and clawed the whole second half but were unable to prevent the come back and fell to the Eagles 63-52.

The Indians were led in scoring by Tracy Fulton with 19 points followed by Mason McCaleb with 14 and Evann Sells with 13. The Indians fought all the way to the final buzzer and this was a very tough loss for our team. However there are things that we can correct to go out with a bang in our last game on Thursday.

Our next and final contest of the season will be on Thursday as we host the Bulldogs of Harrisburg in a JV doubleheader with the girls set to tip at 6 p.m.. Don't forget to catch the Varsity Indians in action tonight against the same Eagles of Southern Boone with the girls tip set for 6 p.m.. Lets try and pack the gym for this fierce rivalry!
