JV Boys fall to Eldon
February 11, 2013
Hallsville High Schoolfrom JV Coach Jordan Carmack
On Saturday afternoon the JV Indians traveled to Eldon to take on the host Mustangs. The game started out slow as both teams looked to be moving in slow motion for most of the first half. The game was pretty even as both teams traded buckets and we headed in to the half with a lead of 20-18. The second half the game really picked up physically and remained close all the way down to the end. The boys fought hard but in the end too many costly turnovers and missed box outs cost us the game as we came out on the wrong end of a 49-45 score.
The Indians were led in scoring by Evann Sells with 14 followed by Mason McCaleb with 12. This was a very physical game for our boys but they kept their composure and fought til the end of regulation. This game showed us some things we can work on for the last two games of our season.
Our next contest is tonight as we host rival Southern Boone in a JV double header with the girls set to tip at 6 p.m..
