Home » Boys' Basketball NewsJV Boys win at Tolton HS 61-37February 8, 2013 Hallsville High Schoolfrom JV Coach Jordan Carmack Last night the JV Indians made the short journey to Columbia to take on the Father Tolton Catholic Trailblazers. The Indians jumped out early and never looked back. With full court pressure defense leading to easy buckets the Indians dominated the first quarter and went into the second period with the lead 23-8. The Indians continued their strong play through the second period and went in to the half dominating the game 37-15. The second half saw much of the same as the first as the Indians pressure defense proved to be too much for the Trailblazers. The Indians were able to seal the deal in the end and come away with the victory 61-37. On a night where a lot of points were scored we were very balanced in our scoring attack led by Tracy Fulton with 19, followed by Mason McCaleb with 11 and Octavius Johnson with 10. The boys did a great job of sharing the basketball in the open court and were able to put another win on the board. Our next contest will be Saturday as we travel to Eldon to take on the Mustangs following the Varsity girls game the JV Boys will play, followed by the Varsity Indians. Hope to see you there!
