JV Girls update- Warsaw and Versailles
January 22, 2013
Hallsville High Schoolfrom JV Coaches Lauren Lloyd and MaCall Lankford
Last Thursday the girls hosted Warsaw. We were only able to play 2 quarters in the JV game, due to the lack of players for Warsaw. The girls came out ready to play. We got a quick jump on Warsaw and ended the first quarter up 14-5. The girls kept up the intensity and finished the 2nd quarter up 31-13. We were lead in scoring by Hailey Crabtree with 10 and Brooke Alley added 6.
Last night we hosted the Tigers from Versailles. Again, the girls came out ready to play. We got out in the passing lanes and got some easy buckets in transition. We went into halftime with a 10 point lead. The Tigers played us closer in the 2nd half, tying us in the 3rd quarter. We continued to work together and got to the free throw line several times, hitting 5 of 6 free throws in the 4th quarter. We came out with a win, with a final score of 43-30. We were lead in scoring by Aimee Cobb with 10. Brette Alley added 8 points.
Thank you for all the continued support! Our next contest is a JV double header on Thursday, at home, against Centralia. Girls tip off at 6 PM.
