JV Indians fall to Blair Oaks 53-39

January 9, 2013
Hallsville High School

from JV Coach Jordan Carmack

Last night the JV Indians played host to the Falcons of Blair Oaks. The game started out slow for the Indians who could not seem to put the ball in the hoop throughout the whole first half. With a first half marked by turnover and missed block outs the Indians were still able to stay with the Falcons heading to half time down 29-18. The second half continued with much of the same as the Indians continued to struggle to find ways to score and take care of the ball. The Indians effort was never in question this game, however Blair Oaks was able to out tough the Indians and in the end the Indians came up short by a final score of 58-39.

On a night where it was tough to find a basket the Indians were led in scoring by Mason McCaleb with 9 followed by Evann Sells and Joey Forge with 7 apiece. The Indians fought the whole game and never gave up and we can come out of this game with some things to work on going forward.

Our next contest is on Friday, as we host the School of the Osage Indians at home for Court Warming. We would love to see the continued support from fans and spectators and get a packed gym on Friday!
