JV Boys defeat Fayette 51-22

December 19, 2012
Hallsville High School

from JV Coach Jordan Carmack

Last night the JV Indians played host to the Falcons of Fayette. The Indians started out strong in the first half. Tough full court defense and relentless offense propelled the Indians to a huge lead at half 34-9. The second half saw much of the same with the Indians continuing to dictate the tempo of the game and not allowing the Falcons to do anything on offense. This was a well played team game for the Indians and saw some red hot shooting in the second half from Harley Bushdiecker. In the end the Indians were just too much for the Falcons as they ran away with the game 51-22.

We were very balanced in scoring as 10 out of 11 players who played were able to get a bucket. Harley Bushdiecker got on a roll in the third and fourth quarters and led us in scoring with 14, followed by Mason McCaleb with 10. This was a great game and got a lot of kids playing time as we were able to put the Falcons away early.

Don't forget to catch the Varsity Indians in action tomorrow night at the Madison Tournament as they open up the first round with a game against the host Panthers set to tip at 6 p.m.. The Varsity Lady Indians play right before at 4:30 in their opening round match up. Our next action will not come until after Christmas Break when we take on Harrisburg on January 4th.
