7th grade girls defeat Fayette to wrap season

Last night we traveled to Fayette for our season finale with the Falcons. In what wasn't the prettiest game of the season, the girls were able to grind out a 23-16 victory bringing their 7th grade season to a close. We were up 5-2 after the first quarter and 10-6 at halftime. In the 3rd quarter we seemed to seize control by outscoring them 6-0 to take a 16-6 lead into the 4th, but we allowed a rally where they closed to within 4 points with about 2 minutes left before we closed out the game.

It wasn't pretty, but proud of the way the girls continued to grind in this one to find a win in the end. And the girls also closed out the season strong winning 3 of their final 4 games. They came a long way in what is a short amount of time for the middle school season.
