Hallsville High Schoolfrom Coach Michael Bennatt
The Indians played in the Third Place game of the Centralia Tournament on Saturday against the Sturgeon Bulldogs. The Indians were able grab control of the game early and had a 9 point lead going into 4th quarter.
Unfortunately, the momentum swayed towards Sturgeon in the 4th as they hit 4 three point shots and cut the lead to 2 points. With 10 seconds remaining Sturgeon had the ball and after multiple attempts to score they found one more three point shot as time expired. The Indians fell to Sturgeon 69-68.
The Indians were led in scoring by Nathan Katz and Brendan Beatty with both scoring 15 points. We are back in action on Tuesday at home against Eugene.
