JV boys v. New Bloomfield W 55-17

December 3, 2012
Hallsville High School

from JV Coach Jordan Carmack

On Saturday the JV Indians traveled to New Bloomfield for an early morning contest with the host Wildcats. The Indians were wide awake when the game started and were able to take advantage of some great defense and jump out on top of the Wildcats 33-13 at the half.

The same continued for much of the second half as the Indians held the Wildcats scoreless for the whole third quarter! The Wildcats managed to score only four points the whole second half and the Indians were able to come away with a good win, 55-17. The defensive display by the Indians on Saturday was very impressive and they look to continue that defense the rest of the season.

Our scoring on Saturday was very well balanced as we had 9 of our 12 players get a bucket! We were led in scoring by Tracy Fulton with 15 followed by Mason McCaleb with 10.

We have a very busy week ahead of us with JV or Varsity action almost every night. The JV Indians will play host to the Madison Panthers tonight with the girls scheduled to tip at 6 p.m.. The Varsity Indians will be in action at the Centralia Tournament this week with the opening round game scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. against the Boonville Pirates. The JV Indians will open play in the Southern Boone Tournament on Wednesday.

Thanks everyone for the support and Go Indians!
