Lady Indians fall to Sturgeon 56-43

The Lady Indians took a road trip to Sturgeon last night. We lost to a very good Sturgeon squad 56-43. We got down early by a count of 19-4, but had a strong 2nd quarter to close the gap to 26-31 at halftime. Coming out strong to open the 3rd quarter, we quickly cut the lead to 3 points. That would be as close as we could get to them for the rest of the game.
This group has to learn how to reduce their turnovers in order to be competitive at the varsity level. The Lady Indians were lead in scoring by Michelle Gall with 14 points and Jordan Dinyer had 10 points.
Monday we face #2 seed North Callaway in the first round of the Centralia Tournament with a 4:30 tipoff.
