Home » Girls' Golf NewsSalisbury Tournament resultsSeptember 13, 2012 By Maribeth Frevert of Hallsville High SchoolWe had a great day at the Salisbury Tournament on Wednesday, Sept. 12. Hallsville's Brittany Wise place 5th in the field with 93. Brookfield took the team trophy with a team score of 394, and 2nd and 3rd place medals to Miranda White 86, and Nicole Liebhart 91. Medalist for the day was Bethany Stallo with 84 on the par 70 course. Centralia's team took 2nd place with 415 -Brooklyn Nichols placing 7th with 95, and Carrie Drake 9th with 97. Southern Boone placed 3rd with 418 and Hannah Muroski placing 8th with 96 and Faith VanWig placing 10th with 101. Salisbury's team placed 4th with 437, Harrisburg 5th with 440, New Bloomfield 6th with 445. Erica Shoop had one of her best rounds with 9 hole scores of 57 and 62 for 119. (Salisbury is a 9 hole course that we play twice for the 18 hole score) Billie McKinley had a rough day and shot 75 / 73 for 148. Three matches in a row played a part in fatigue, and the day got warm as things drug out. There was a lot of waiting around. But I'm really proud of our girls and the way they handled the tournament pressure. The coaches wander around and watch different areas and we saw several rules infractions by other players, but I never saw any problems with our girls- thankfully we cover rules and situations pretty thoroughly in practices. Our next match is on Tuesday when we are gone all day again for a Tournament in California. Then on Thursday, we host our last home meet at Lake of the Woods against Salisbury, Centralia and Sturgeon. Complete score document available in downloadable documents below.
