It was a hot, hot day and a dry, dry course but I'm really pleased with the effort and results of our team at the Paris Tournament.

There were 9 schools represented, and Mexico went home with the team championship with a team score of 403, followed by Paris with 410, and Centralia with 422. Harrisburg placed 4th with 426, Glasgow with 448, Salisbury 451, Westran 464 and New Bloomfield with 498. Since Hallsville only has 3 on the team, we didn't qualify for a team score.

Our two freshmen played in their very first 18 hole tournament and fared very well. Billie McKinley shot 119 for the day and Erica Shoop shot 129. This is a great outing for these two. They are improving day by day, and I have high hopes for their first season.

Brittany Wise (Jr) placed in the medal ranks with a 98 to place her 5th after a 3 way scorecard playoff. This is Brittany's first medal !

Medalist for the day was Layne Ray of Mexico with 87, and Amy Thornhill of Harrisburg also with 87 placed 2nd. The rest of the medals:

1 Layne Ray 87 Mexico

2 Amy Thornhill 87 Harrisburg

3 Kaidy Heitmeyer 95 Paris

4 Carrie Drake 98 Centralia

5 Brittany Wise 98 Hallsville

6 Haley Auwarter 98 Mexico

7 Chevy Ingebritson 99 Westran

8 Erin Reynolds 99 Glasgow

9 Shelby DeTienne 100 Paris

10 Hannah Nicolay 101 Salisbury
