HS Quiz Bowl team District Champs

On Saturday, Apr. 14,  Hallsville hosted the MSHSAA Scholar Bowl District Tournament for Class 3 District 7. The six teams competing that day were Centralia, Fulton, Hallsville, Mexico, Montgomery County, and Southern Boone County.

Hallsville's three preliminary rounds were as follows:

Hallsville 440                 Montgomery County 190

Hallsville 380                 Fulton 220

Hallsville 560                 SoBoCo 80

We went 3-0 during these rounds and were the #1 seed for the play-offs. During the semi-finals we beat Centralia 420-240. In the championship game it was a rematch with Fulton who we beat 360-260.

This is the 4th time in 6 years that Hallsville is the Class 3 District 7 champions. We now proceed to Sectional play on April 25 at Boonville where we will play the Boonville Pirates, winners of Class 3 District 8.
