HS Quiz Bowl at MMC tournament

On Saturday the Quiz Bowl team completed its MMC season by participating in the MMC tournament at Ashland. During the morning rounds we went 3-0 and outscored our opponents 760-320. We were the #1 seed for the play-offs to be held after lunch. However, our opponent (North Callaway) forfeited the game and went home instead of opting to return after lunch and play the game. Harrisburg, who had been eliminated from the tournament during the morning rounds was offered the chance to take North Callaway's place in the play-offs. They declined. So after receiving a bye during the first round of the play-offs we faced Southern Boone in the championship game. We won 440-280.

Hallsville went undefeated during conference play and won the conference champion ship for the second year in a row and 4 times out of the last 5 years.
