HS Quiz Bowl at Helias

On Saturday, the Quiz Bowl team participated in the Helias Invitational Tournament. There were 24 schools in attendance from around the state. We took a Varsity team and a JV team. Since this tournament did not have a JV bracket our JV team was able to compete against other school's Varsity teams.

Our JV team went 5-3 for the tournament but did not finish in the top 8. They were led in scoring by Jared Lockwood.

The Varsity team went 4-1 in the morning and qualified for the play-offs. In the play-offs, they won against Richland and Fulton but lost very close matches to Rock Bridge and Hickman. They finished in 6th place for the tournament. Madeline Koenig-Schappe led the Varsity team in scoring and received an individual medal for being the 7th ranked scorer of the tournament.
