Sonny Parker still thinks Jabari is #1 player in the country 

Sonny Parker feels that Ben Wilson documentary was done well. Sonny likes how they show, how the community embrace him. That was the first time that happen to a ball player like that in Chicago. Hearing about it for the first time it was a connection for all of us, at that time. He meant so much to us and watching it over and over, brings back memories. Usually ball players got a free pass, to where they please. Everybody respected him. It was very emotional for us to watch it. Some good came out of it. The trauma units are better in Chicago now.

 He was one of those kids that had the smile and talent. I remember when Jabari was in 8^th grade his folder had Ben Wilson cover on it. They had another special on Ben that he watches. When he goes to school he sees his picture on the wall. He was a great talent and great person.  I am glad the nation had a chant to see the film. His Legacy will live on.

Jabari and Ben have some similarities in their game. Some of Jabari game is like Kevin Durant, some of Jabari game is like Kobe, some of his game is like LeBron. He has a little bit of all the great players in it. You will see little of Ben’s game in him.

His game is old school. He watches all the old school players, Jabari never in a rush on the court. His demeanor says the same.

You look at all his awards; it’s not even closes at all I didn’t see any of those people at the ESPY awards. Playing for team USA, he got the national Gatorade player of the year. I ask ESPN base on what? I am trying to find out how they came up with the rankings. Thing about all those rankings, he has played against all those players. Jabari said with all those rankings, you still have to go out there and play. After one of Jabari games I ask him how many points, did you have? Jabari said ‘’dad we won the game.

He plays for his neighborhood and his city. Jabari told me basketball is what I do not who I am. I already told all the schools, he is only going to one school and he is going to graduate. We told them education is not a backup plan. Education is the plan

Now Chicago is getting the respect now.  Players like Derrick Rose,  Jabari Parker, Anthony Davis and Oakfor. The respect is coming
