ROCKFORD GUILFORD FOOTBALL (3-6)

*Rockford Guilford Football Team fought hard this season with a season opening L against the Freeport Pretzels with a final score of 13-29. The Vikings came out next against the East E-Rabs with a 37-20 W. The Vikings then played their cross town 2 time deffending State Champ and 6 time deffending Conference Champ the Boylan Titans and came out with an L with a scor of 0-38. the Vikings then exploded though the town of Belvidere taking out Belvidere North with a 34-25 W. The Vikings then traveled to the South of the city and took out Belvidere with a 42-14 W putting the Vikings at an overall record (3-2) and in good standing. The Vikings the next week would play Rockford Auburn who had a new but familiar coach and fell in a close 14-19 L but was very controversal last play calling. the Vikings would then fall the next last three weeks of the season to Honnonegah Indians 8-29, Harlem Huskies 6-41, and the Jefferson J-Hawks in their final game of the season by 33-41 which was another hard fought game. The Vikings fought hard and have a very good junior class stepping up for their senior season so do not count the Vikings out quiet yet, they will come back stronger and better then ever in the 2012 football season, you heard it here first! Good luck to all seniors with their future goals and thank you for your dedication to the Rockford Guilford Football Team.
