Lady Cubs defeat Whiteland 35-32

Saturday afternoon the Lady Cubs traveled to county and conference rival Whiteland to face the host Lady Warriors.  The Lady Cubs got off to a slow start but began to heat up leading by one point at the half.  The Lady Cubs turned it up in the 3rd out scoring the Lady Warriors 13-5.  The Lady Cubs held on with the help of good free throw shooting hitting 6-8 in the final period to hang on for the victory 35-32.  Leaders for the Lady Cubs: Morgan McCarter 11 pts, Grace Kinsey 7 pts and 8 rebounds, Megan Hartkorn, Liz Berrones 4 pts and 5 rebounds, Mary Harris 5 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 points.  The Lady Cubs play host to the Lady Rebels of Roncalli Thursday night.  Good Job Ladies!
