JV Cubs beat rival Greenwood 28-23

Friday night the JV Lady Cubs hosted County and Conference rival Greenwood.  The Lady Cubs struggled early to find some momentum and found themselves trailing at the half 9-14.  The Lady Cubs received a spark off the bench towards the end of the 3rd quarter and began clawing their way back into the game knotting the score 23-23 at the end of 4, forcing overtime.  The momentum had shifted and the Lady Cubs held the Lady Woodmen scoreless in the extra session pulling out the victory 28-23.  Highlights for the Lady Cubs: Morgan McCarter 8pts., 4 steals and 3 assists, Mary Harris 5 pts., 4 steals, Grace Kinsey 4 pts., and 7 rebounds, Olivia Warren and Morgan Hash 4pts and 6 rebounds each, Liz Berrones 3 pts.  Way to pull through in the end Ladies! The Lady Cubs are back on the hardwood Thursday night as they host Mt. Vernon.
