Franklin Community High SchoolLast night the JV Lady Cubs traveled to Monrovia to face the Lady Bulldogs. Poor shooting plagued the Lady Cubs in the first half but they still managed to lead 10-7 at the half. The poor shooting continued to plague the Lady Cubs coming out of the break, but their defensive intensity picked up and they were able to hold Monrovia to just 2 3rd quarter points leading 18-9 heading into the final period. The Lady Cubs were able to pull away for good in the 4th, coming away with a much needed road victory 30-16. Leaders for the Lady Cubs: Caitlin Booe with a game high 8 points and 7 steals, Morgan Hash 6 points and a game high 11 rebounds, Mary Harris and Morgan McCarter with 5 points each and Grace Kinsey and Olivia Warren with 3 points each. The Lady Cubs will be back in action on the road next Tuesday as they travel to the Hornet's nest to face Beech Grove. Great Job Ladies! Keep working!
