Cubs win v. Mooresville 21-14

Franklin Community High SchoolThe varsity football team traveled to Mooresville on Friday and fell victim to the weather for the second time this season. The game was postponed at the end of the 1st quarter with Mooresville leading 14-0. The game resumed on Saturday at 1:30. The rest of the game was all Franklin. The defense shut out the Pioneers in the final three quarters with strong performances by Jason Moran, Jacob Smith and Connor Tolley. The offense was lead by Jake Stevenson's 53 yards rushing and Ross Barr's 93 yards and 3 TDs. The final score of 21-14 increased the team's record to 3-3 on the year and 1-2 in the Mid State Conference.
This was the first victory for Franklin at Mooresville since 1998.
