Girls finish 2nd in Mid-State Conference

The Franklin Girls' Tennis team came up 4 points shy of winning the Mid-State Conference Tournament, finishing a close second to Greenwood.  #1 singles Abby Smith played an incredible semi-final match that came down to a tie break in the third set and unfortunately came up short.  Abby went on to win 4th place in #1 singles.  #2 singles Hannah Hook easily secured a 3rd place victory.  #3 singles Lauren Edwards and #1 doubles Logan Jones and Kristen Conoley were Conference champs in their positions.  #2 doubles team of Mary Huffine and Kayleigh Warner struggled in the first round, losing to Mooresville.  On Thursday the #2 doubles team of Ali Rice and Sarah Jepsen quickly won thier match to secure 5th place.
