IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week (4-30-12)

April 30, 2012
Franklin Community High School

"Promoting education-based athletics in Indiana."

Most student-athletes can perform in the classroom and on the athletic
field when things are going well and there doesn't seem to be too much
push or pressure from the opposition.

However, when things aren't going as well and you seem to be
struggling in the classroom or on the field of play, how do you react?

When the pressure is on and you need to turn it up a notch or two, do
you know how to do so?  The best answer to this question is one simple
word, preparation. Those who are prepared, whether in the classroom or
on the field of play, will do a better job when the pressure is really
on.  Preparation will help your confidence and self esteem!
