Girls finish 2nd in JoCo Tennis Tournament

The Franklin Girls' Tennis team finished runner-up in the Johnson County Tennis Tournament on Saturday.  The Cubs defeated #1 seed Center Grove in the first round on Saturday 4-1.  This win meant that for the first time in recent memory, a team other than Center Grove would be County Champions.  Winning for FCHS against Center Grove were: #1 singles Abby Smith, #2 singles Hannah Hook, #3 singles Lauren Edwards, and #1 doubles of Logan Jones and Kristen Conoley.
 
In the championship round, FCHS lost a hard fought match to Greenwood 1-4.  This was also the first loss of the season for the Cubs.  #3 singles Lauren Edwards was the lone victory for the Cubs against Greenwood.
 
Franklin is now 7-1 on the season and they are looking to avenge their loss to Greenwood tonight during their regular season dual match vs. Greenwood.  Good luck ladies!
