Boys Track finishes 2nd in County Meet

The Franklin Boys Track and Field team finished second in the Johnson County meet last evening.  Defending state champion Center Grove was the winner with 185 points and the Grizzly Cubs were second with 147.  First place finishes were recorded by Brian Murr in the 100 and 200 meter dashes and the pole vault, Chris Percifield in the discus and Reid Abney in the shot.  Brian Murr was selected male athlete of the county meet. 
Franklin Community High School will host the top track meet in the state this Friday.  The Bill Self Invitational will feature 8 of the top boys and girls teams in Indiana with a 5:00 starting time.
