Two Griffin Grasshoppers Meet In Div-1 Basketball Game
It was a great moment to endure for Griffin Grasshoppers Director/Head Coach Duck Richards, who sat proudly watching two of his former Grasshoppers compete against one another of the Division-1 college basketball circuit. Cameron Solomon (Lovejoy HS) currently with Georgia State University played against his former teammate Isaiah Massey (Union Grove HS) currently with Louisiana Tech University. The two players played for bragging rights. Solomon scored 7 points for the Georgia State Panthers and Massey scored 4 poits and grabbed 6 rebounds for Louisiana Tech. In the end, Massey along with his Louisiana Tech crew was a bit too much for Solomon and his Georgia State Panthers. Louisiana Tech defeated Georgia State 86-68.
Both players were teammates with the Griffin Grasshoppers 17U team that won the Georgia AAU State Tournament and competed for the AAU Nationals in Orlando, Florida in 2009.
