Carr Named Student of The Week

Junior Sarah Carr has been named Greene Central’s Student of the Week for the first week of March.
Carr is a part is a part of many extra-curricular activities. She plays on the varsity volleyball team, she is part of the youth group at her church, and is in Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).
“Carr is an extremely competitive athlete, and she gives it everything she’s got each game. She has great drive and also pushes those around her to do well. She is very determined, and she works hard. Sarah has a good personality and loves to laugh,” expressed varsity volleyball coach James Campbell.
Her classes this semester include CTE Advanced Studies, Honors English 11, Honors Chemistry, and AP Psychology.
“My favorite class would have to be AP Psychology because it makes you see things differently and have different perceptions,” said Carr.
“Sarah is a very responsible student who takes her education very seriously. She works extremely hard and always puts forth maximum effort,” said her AP Psychology teacher Allen Wooten.
“She is always concerned about others and follows up on all of her responsibilities. She takes her school seriously and is a good friend to many,” expressed CTE Advanced Studies teacher Kathy Wegmann.
Her future plans include a four year university. At this time, she is undecided about her major, and she is still searching for her future career path.
“I would describe myself as a hardworking student; I try my best,” said Carr.
“Sarah is a very dedicated and kind student, and you can always count on her,” said Wegmann.
“I like Mrs. Wegmann because she is a mentor to me. She is a great guidance and a wonderful influence. She has always been there for me throughout all my years of high school,” said Carr.
She is the daughter of Gloria and Lance Carr of Ayden.
