Jones Named Student of the Week

Jones is a part of many activities outside of school. She is a varsity cheerleader, is in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), 4-H Youth Council, Student Government Association (SGA) Youth Council, Yearbook, and Spanish Club.
Her classes this semester include Civics and Economics, Graphics, Digital Media I, and Business/Office Assistant.
Her future school plans include Pitt Community College if she decides to be an ultrasound technician.
Her future career plans include either the Air Force or being an ultrasound technician.
Jones is a superb student at Greene Central High School, “I get mostly A’s, a few B’s” she said.
“I am a good, hardworking student, and I try my best to get the best grades to succeed,” Jones expressed to me.
“I think I was awarded this because of my leadership skills and also my ambition towards my school work and my grades,” said Jones.
“Angel is an outstanding student,” said James Monroe, the teacher of her Microsoft Excel/Access class.
Jones was actually one of the only three students at Greene Central High School to attain a dual certification in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
In his class she maintained the highest average, which was a 100 overall average.
“I like Mr. Monroe because he is very good teacher, and he is very caring and helpful towards his students,” said Jones.
“Angel was also a leader in the classroom. She unselfishly assisted others with spreadsheets and databases and also gave pointers on passing the certification exam. Angel was a joy to teach,” said Monroe.
She is the daughter of Angela and Dennis Jones of Hookerton.
