by Wes Caldwell

On a cold and chilly night—and for the first time in 21 years—Baltimore Poly had home field advantage as they took on Perry Hall.

It didn't take long for Poly to strike. Jamel Chappelle took Poly down the field to the one yard line to set up the touchdown and the two-point conversion. After a quick 4 and out, Chappelle struck again with a 40-yard touchdown and two point conversion, taking the score to 16-0. A Poly interception and return made it 24-0 to end the first quarter.

Poly scored another rushing touchdown to start the second quarter and and make the score 32-0, then scored again to make it 38-0 to end the half.

Perry Hall struck first in the third quarter with a 35-yard pass for the touchdown, making the score 38-7. Poly answered back with a 40-yard touchdown but missed the two point conversion, bringing the score to 44-7. Poly again rushed for another touchdown to make it 50-7 going into the fourth quarter.

The fourth quarter started with an interception for Perry Hall, who then scored to make it 50-14. One more late score by Perry Hall resulted in a final score of Poly 50-Perry Hall 21. Jamel Chappelle was named game MVP.
