Two hours before kick-off the stands at C.E Weatherby Stadium, tucked deep in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, was already over one-third full. The fans were pouring in for the Great American Rivalry Game of the Week, Tuscola vs. Pisgah. Tailgaters included local celebrate Doug cooking bear meat!

Even though both teams have suffered injuries of key players, this game did not disappoint the intense and passionate crowd.

An exciting first quarter saw Hunter Creson score on a 20-yard catch with two minutes to go in the quarter. On the following kick-off, Tuscola recovered the ball on their on 20 yard-line, after an
unexpected pooch kick.

The halftime score was 14-0, with Tuscola scoring two touchdowns by putting the ball in the air.

The game was all tied up after Pisgah scored on a deep pass to the endzone in the third quarter, but after the extra point there was yellow laundry all over the field.

The pressure was on. Do they go for 2 with the ball on the one-yard line or keep the score tied up at 27-27? Pisgah decided to go for the 2 point conversion to take the win.

With a halfback draw Tuscola stuffed the line of scrimmage and took back the Great American Rivalry series trophy. 

Final score was Tuscola 28-Pisgah 27.
