The cross state-line rivalry has been going on for years and this year's game did not disappoint. Bluefield ws out to defend their 2011 Great American Rivalry Championship trophy and Graham was determined to bring the Championship trophy back across the state line. The Beavers came out hitting on all cylinders. Graham's first possession was a disaster and ended with a fumble on their own 20 yard line, giving the Beavers the go ahead for their second touchdown. The first quarter ended with Bluefield leading 14-0. The Beavers ground attack was too much for the G-Men. Graham attempted to gain some momentum connecting on a 50 yard slant pass for a touchdown. But in the end The Beavers took a 37-7 lead into halftime. Bluefield's Montell Leggett started his sophmore campaign out with numerous highlight reel runs. He finished the game with 3 touchdowns and took home the MVP honors. The game was not much of a competition from the kick-off. The Beavers were too much for the G-Men and won by a lopsided score of 51-14. The 2011 Great American Rivalry Series trophy will stay another year year in the state of West Virginia.
